Here at Lakeside we believe that life wasn’t designed to be journeyed alone. We think life is better together! We wholeheartedly believe that circles are better than rows and our Life Groups provide the perfect circles to connect with others, grow in your faith, and thrive in the purpose that God has created you for.
So whether you’re new to Christianity or you've followed Jesus for a long time, whether you’re new to Lakeside or have called Lakeside 'home' for many years, we want to help you connect with others and grow in your faith journey.
Listed below are the different Life Groups we currently have running, but we do keep adding to this so keep coming back to see if any new groups.

Twenties & Thirties Group
Wednesday Evenings (weekly)
7:30-9pm
Leaders: Mark & Nicola Millington (Held at their home in Crossens)
A group for those in their 20's and 30's who have a desire to deepen their relationship with God as they connect with others, growing in what it means to follow Jesus, and to do this thing called 'life' together with friends. This is a group where people gather with a desire to be connected to one another and to those who might be interested in and/or exploring faith... and who enjoy eating together!
Ainsdale Life Group
Thursday evenings (Weekly)
7:30-9pm
Leaders: James & Joy Aldred (Held at their home in Ainsdale)
A life group that focusses on fun, friendship, Bible study and prayer. Come along to our Thursday night group, where we'll be sharing God's Word, praying, laughing and, of course, enjoying coffee and cake! There'll also be regular games nights and socials.
Kew Life Group
Tuesday Evenings (Twice Monthly - launching January 2026)
7:30-9pm
Leaders: Brian & Judith Russ (Held at their home in Kew)
A group for those wishing to connect for fun, friendship and to grow in their relationship with God. The group includes Bible discussion, prayer, refreshments and more.

Thursday morning prayer is an ongoing daytime Life Group with a focus on prayer. The group usually starts with a time of praise followed by open prayer. We'd love you to join us.
Beyond The Empty Chair

Venue: Be Free Coffee House
A place for widows and widowers to connect, share and encourage one another. When you lose your loved one, everything that follows on - the sadness, the sorrow, the silence can be overwhelming. But there is hope. This group is for widows and widowers to simply connect, share stories, encourage one another and offer hope to those who are experiencing life 'beyond the empty chair.'
Have Ewe Any Wool?
First Thursday of each Month
1:30pm - 2:30pm
Leader: Hazel Prescott
If you are an expert or somebody who wants to learn to knit, this is the ideal group for you. As well as having a great social time getting to know each other, you will help raise funds for the missionary work in Cambodia. We meet in Lakeside's Coffee House and would love you to join us, no sign up required.
Prodigal Prayer
Every Wednesday

This is a weekly prayer meeting for people who are passionate about interceding for those who have walked away from following Jesus. The group meets at Lakeside Church to pray and share any encouraging testimonies they may have.

The Second Coming (Part 1)
Thursday evenings starting 26th February | 7:30-9pm

With all that is happening in our world at the moment, many Christians believe that we are living in the last days. So what does this mean? What will happen in the period leading up to the return of Christ? This Life Group is the first in a series of three focused on the Second Coming and serves as an introduction to the other two. In it you will be introduced to the four main schools of thought prevalent amongst evangelical Christians, with objective analysis of each one's strengths and weaknesses. This is a good place to start if you want to be able to learn good principles in prophetic interpretation
